Notes
- Sleepy eyes are two curved lines of surface embroidery — no safety eyes and no wire, so nothing hard sits inside the fabric. Still check against the toy-safety rules for your market before giving it to a child under 3.
- Ears are worked flat in rows and decrease to a point. Sew them along the seam of rounds 4–6.

Ears (make 2) — worked flat
- With Silver Grey: ch 8, sc in the 2nd ch from hook and across. (7 sc sts)
- Ch 1, turn. Dec, sc 3, dec (5 sc sts)
- Ch 1, turn. Dec, sc 1, dec (3 sc sts)
- Ch 1, turn. Sc3tog: pull up a loop in each of the next 3 sts, yo through all 4 loops. Fasten off with a 25 cm tail. (1 st sts)
- Inner ear (make 2): with Kitten Pink, ch 6; sc in the 2nd ch and across (5). Ch 1, turn: sc2tog, sc 1, sc2tog (3). Ch 1, turn: sc3tog (1). Fasten off and sew onto the front of each outer ear. (5 → 3 → 1 sts)

- Back legs (make 2), Kitten Pink rounds 1–3 then Silver Grey: MR 6; inc x6 (12); [sc 1, inc] x6 (18); sc around (18); [sc 1, dec] x6 (12); sc around x4 rounds (12). Stuff, flatten. (12 sts)
- Tail: with Silver Grey MR, 6 sc. Sc around for 22 rounds (6 sts). Stuff very lightly. Fasten off with a 25 cm tail. (6 x 22 rounds = about 9 cm sts)
Face + assembly
- Sew the head to the body, twice around the join. (— sts)
- Sleepy eyes: with Charcoal, embroider two shallow downward curves between rounds 10 and 11 of the head, 7 sts apart. Add 3 short lashes at the outer end of each. (— sts)
- Nose: 3 small satin stitches in Kitten Pink centred 2 rounds below the eyes, plus a tiny V mouth in Charcoal. (— sts)
- Whiskers: 3 straight stitches of Charcoal on each cheek, knotted inside. (— sts)
- Sew the ears to rounds 4–6 of the head, 11 sts apart. Sew the front paws just below the neck at body rounds 14–15, the back legs at the front of rounds 9–12, and the tail centred at the back of round 13. (— sts)
