Sharing rules
Updated 8 October 2026. Your device-local progress is separate from community submissions. Stitch counters, progress and local project notes are never published by the tracker.
Submit only what you have permission to share
Sign in with Google, provide a title and free-text dimensions, and upload 2–6 photos showing different angles. JPEG, PNG and WebP are supported, up to 8 MiB per photo. Label each angle; the first photo becomes the cover. Include the finished measurements, hook size and other known details rather than asking a photo to prove them.
Use your own photos and a design you have permission to share. Owning a finished item does not necessarily give you permission to reproduce its designer's pattern. Do not upload purchased patterns, copied instructions or photos belonging to someone else. Do not include faces, addresses, children or other personal information without appropriate permission.
Two required confirmations
I agree that this crochet project, its photos, dimensions and the reviewed pattern may be shared publicly after admin review.
I own these photos and have permission to share this design. I will not submit someone else’s copyrighted pattern.
Both confirmations must be actively checked. The server records them and rejects submissions without them. There is no private-only submission option: submitting is permission for later public publication, not immediate publication.
Private review before publication
Until publication, only you and administrators can access your submission and photos. An administrator may send the images and supplied details to the configured AI provider for analysis. AI analysis is a starting point, not proof of stitch counts, gauge, yarn, hook size or construction. See privacy for provider and storage details.
An administrator must review and edit the pattern, check the sharing and rights confirmations, and explicitly confirm the review before publishing. The server requires a valid pattern and that review confirmation. AI output is never published automatically. A submission may be kept under review or rejected.
What becomes public
A published project's title, Google display name, dimensions, photos and reviewed pattern can be viewed without signing in. It can appear in the community library, public pattern pages and sitemap, and be indexed by search engines. Private notes, AI analysis, draft patterns and review notes are not part of the public view. Avoid a identifying display name if you do not want it shown publicly.
Unpublishing and copies
An administrator can change a published project's status to remove it and its linked pattern from public access. The stored submission remains available to its owner and administrators. There is currently no self-service deletion or withdrawal control. Public photos may remain cached for up to a day, and we cannot recall downloads, screenshots or search-engine copies made while a project was public.
Pattern accuracy and safety
The built-in patterns have undergone stitch-arithmetic and written-instruction review, not physical crochet testing. Sizes, yardage and timings are estimates. Community patterns reconstructed from photos have additional uncertainty. Make a test swatch, verify counts and measurements, and use your own judgment before investing yarn or publishing a derived design.
